BIOGRAPHY
Dr. James r. Edlow SR.,
PREACHER. TEACHER. FATHER. FRIEND.
Reverend James R. Edlow, Sr. is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he received his childhood education. Since that time Pastor Edlow has been blessed to earn a B. S. Degree in Bible, and Pastoral studies from Cairn University; formerly the Philadelphia Biblical University. He has continued his theological training at the graduate school of Lancaster Bible College, the Lutheran Theological Seminary of Philadelphia, and the Westminster Theological Seminary. He holds a Master of Divinity degree in Urban Missiology from Mission Seminary in Hatfield, Pennsylvania, where he also recently received his Doctorate of Ministry.
Pastor Edlow was blessed to be reared in a Christian home. It was at the Nazarene Baptist Church of Philadelphia where he received his Christian training, was baptized, and announced his call to the Gospel ministry. Over the years, Pastor Edlow has used his gifts and talents in the areas of teaching, preaching, leadership, lecturing, and music to the glory of God, and building of the Body of Christ on three continents.
Pastor Edlow, Sr. is the former Pastor of the Historic Zion Baptist Church of Reading, Pennsylvania, where he served for thirteen years. During his tenure, the church saw growth both numerically and spiritually and became an epicenter of Evangelism and Christian Education in the Reading area.

Pastor Edlow is a former Regional Vice President of the Pennsylvania Baptist State Convention. He is also a former Moderator, Association Lecturer, and Clergy President for the Central Baptist Association. Pastor Edlow is also a former instructor in the PBS Congress of Christian Education. Pastor Edlow currently serves as a Contract Chaplain for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the area of Mental Health.
Pastor Edlow is married to Deaconess Genevieve Edlow, and they are blessed with two sons: James R. Edlow, Jr. “JR”; Jerome W. Edlow (Taryn M. Edlow); and two grandsons: James J. White and Javian James Edlow.

He was installed as Pastor of Faith Fellowship Baptist Church on November 13, 2004. As only the third pastor to occupy the helm of this great ministry, Pastor Edlow follows in the rich legacy of his predecessors. While continuing to build on this Christian foundation, Rev. Edlow has been blessed to see growth in the ministry as he continues to reach out to the community where the Lord has planted him.
